Not bad for 2700 runners.

Played the $0.10 R&A $1000 gtd. tourney on FTP yesterday as lukybugur from RtR has been decent enough to stake me $15 to grind these things out. Funny thing about these tourneys is they have such HUGE payouts if you manage to final table them. However, there's usually around 2650+ runners and I've only played in three of them (out of 10) where the field was smaller than 3000.

I took home 107th place yesterday(153 payed) out of 2700. Not too bad I suppose, but I feel I should have atleast final tabled this. Here is the crucial hand that gave me an overwhelming chip lead in the mid-late section of the tourney(about 400 left):



I feel like I may have donked this hand from my pre-flop actions. However, I hadn't played a single hand in about two rounds before this and was relying on that bit of information and hopefully my opponents would fold. When I hit the OESD on the flop, I got a little excited. That was short lived when my opponent pot-size bet the flop. I knew I'd be investing much more than 5% of my stack and thought about my play for a good 30-40 seconds. I decided to call. When the King hit the turn I nearly fell outta my chair. T'was very nice to see that beautiful card, since it helped both me and my opponent. Unfortunately for him, it helped me a tad bit more even though he still had some outs.

I took a personal 15 minute break from the game to keep my nerves calm from that last hand. I came back and donked away almost half my stack in about 4 hands. FFS I'm an idiot.

Well like I said, took 107th place and a whopping prize of $1.74! That's horrible for a 5 hour investment of time. Oh well, I'll be giving this another shot today. I WILL take this biotch down.
